ICT
Welcome
ICT has grown in this school from a single computer room, holding six BBC computers to a network of 400 computers in fully equipped, air-conditioned computer rooms.
Around the school individual classrooms also have ICT facilities such as interactive whiteboards, digital projectors and laptops. The ICT Department offers every pupil at Great Torrington School an ICT lesson each week which follows the QCA Scheme of work. At Keystage 4 we follow the AQA course in Business and Communication Studies. Pupils can also choose ICT as one of their options and take AQA GCSE ICT which is five lessons over a two week period.

Our aim is to help all members of the school community to become critical, independent and safe users of ICT, so that we can enhance the quality of learning and teaching across the curriculum.
